| The
top two
cage doors are ones purchased from a cage supply. Top left is
18"
X 14" with a wire latch, the one to the right is 14" X 14" with a wire
type latch. My raised
pens all use
the 14" X 14" wire door. The opening is about 11.5" X 11"
that
the cage door covers. This opening will allow a standard
10qt.
bucket to fit through it. The doors are attached using cage
pliers and cage clips. The bottom right is the cooling rack
purchased from WalMart. You can
purchase door latching/spring devices
separately or can make up your own. As mentioned before, you can also
use an old grill grate or the old wire type shelving found in older
refrigerators. One other thing you will want to purchase is
door
guard. It snaps around the opening you have cut out in your
wire,
it covers the sharp edges. |
